Biography

Chris has worked as a business journalist since 2002, spending five years as an IT and communications reporter on MicroScope before a brief sojourn as pubs and bars correspondent at The Caterer. His career as a logistics journalist started in 2008 when he became News Editor of Commercial Motor. He moved through the ranks, adding Motor Transport to his news-gathering responsibilities in 2010, before bcoming Managing Editor of both titles in 2014. He added Truck & Driver to that portfolio in 2017 when he became Editor-in-Chief of all three transport titles at DVV Media. During that time Chris hosted events such as Freight in the City, built the Motor Transport Top 100, developed and launched the Commercial Motor Awards and oversaw the production of 80 magazines and supplements a year. He was fortunate enough to succeed the legendary Malory Davies as Editor of Logistics Manager in September 2019. Born and raised in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, he graduated from Keele University in 2001 with a BA (Hons) in American Studies – having studied at Appalachian State University, North Carolina.
