Biography

Ed is responsible for planning the end to end supply chain for Shell Lubricants across Europe and Africa.

He is an experienced Supply Chain leader who has worked across diverse businesses for over 25 years.

Having started his career as a graduate trainee with United Biscuits, Ed worked in production management across a number of food factories before joining Zeneca as Contract Manufacturing Manager.

He joined Coca-Cola in 1998 as Operations Manager of the company’s biggest Concentrate Manufacturing site, a green-field start-up. This involved organisational and supply chain design, recruitment & training of the factory team, then managing this team through plant commissioning and start-up. His assignment grew to become European Supply Chain Manager for Coca-Cola Concentrates.

He continued in the drinks industry, as Head of Planning for Carlsberg Brewers, before joining Shell in 2006.

Ed delivers transformational change in operational environments, creating tangible value. Most recently he has implemented Demand Driven MRP and created a highly effective Planning Service Centre in Krakow.

He is passionate about Diversity and is Senior Sponsor of the Shell LGBT employee network.

He has a Certificate of Corporate Governance from INSEAD and an MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Cranfield.
