Dr Bob Moran
Bob is Head of Decarbonisation Strategy at the UK’s Department for Transport. His team develops and delivers polices across the transport modes to reduce carbon emissions. This has included developing and now deliver of the UK’s Transport Decarbonisation Plan – a ‘greenprint’ for decarbonised transport, design of regulation to deliver the UK’s world leading ambitions around new zero emission vehicles, as well as rolling out a mass scale demonstration of zero emission HGVs across the UK. He previously worked at the UK’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles, a cross Government policy unit working to position the UK as a global leader in zero emission vehicles and associated technologies. Bob was awarded a Ph.D. in Biomechanical Engineering from Edinburgh University in 2002 having graduated from there with an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1997.
