Mike is the Commercial Director for the British Heart Foundation that raises over £100m a year to research into Heart disease. His responsibilities include their 700 Clothing and Home shops, online shop and large eBay for Charity website that have combined revenues of £200m, supported by 3500 paid colleagues and 15000 volunteers.
BHF have pioneered major stock partnerships with retailers, hotel groups and manufacturers to help them and their customers ethically reuse unwanted inventory and assets and make a significant contribution to extending product life, whilst both creating jobs and raising funds.
This now covers a huge range of product categories, including clothing, furniture and re-furbished electricals, and is increasingly focused on the office, education and hospitality sectors.
Prior to BHF he was Managing Director of several national retailers , is Chair of Trustees of the Fashion and Textile Children’s Trust and non-exec Director of a quoted property investment trust.
